Arsenal boss-Mikel Arteta has outlined what Matteo Guendouzi and Mesut Ozil shouldn't do if the want to fight their ways into his plans at Arsenal.
Ozil has been sidelined from playing since the restart of the league,and due to a back injury,Ozil is said to have missed the last two games rather than been said to have been left out entirely.
Guendouzi,after his clash with Seagull's striker Neal Maupay after full time in their defeat against Brighton on June 20 is yet to make another appearance for the team.
"Players that respect the values we want to implement,that they are 100 percent committed to our culture,and players that are accountable every day for what we demand from them"Arteta said.
"Players that are ready to help each other,fight for each other and enjoy playing together.That is what i mean by being in the boat.If you behave like this everyday,you are very,very welcome here and we want to get the best out of you and help you to enjoy your profession with us"
Arteta has said he intend involving and player who is willing to 'get on the boat' and be determined.
"Now we don't spend as much time(training) as we used to before,but you see that in every reaction of the player",Arteta said when he was asked how judge players living up to expectations in training.
"What time he comes into training,how he comes,how ready he is,the way he communicates,the energy he brings in,the way he transmits his feelings to his team-mates,the way he reacts to certain things,the way he behaves in training,during games,there are lot of things that we can pick up".
Ozil has a year left in his contract and has said times that he will not leave the club until the end of his current deal,while Guendouzi has told Arsenal that he wants to leave this summer and the club are willing to authorize a move for the French midfielder.Mikel Arteta still has his doors wide open for Ozil and Guendouzi.
"We all have moments when you have doubts about your future,you have difficult times and that is why the conversations have to be open",Arteta said.
"You have to create an environment for the players so they can trust you,to express those feelings.Even with me.
"If you do that you are always willing to help them,to try to guild them,to give them clarity and support when they need it to feel comfortable.Make them feel they are at the right place".
