Joleon Lescott the former Manchester City defender thinks Kein De Bruyne needs to keep up the outstanding performance for 2-3 seasons more to dethrone Yaya Toure's greatness in the club.
The Belgian international has been up and doing for Pep Guardiola's side this season and the seasons before with his brilliant midfield skills and goal involvement.De Bruyne scored 13 goals and provided 20 assists in his 35 appearance for Manchester City in the 2019/20 season.
Meanwhile,Yaya Toure in his fourth season for Manchester City scored 20 goals as a midfielder and provided 9 assists in 35 games.
Lescott when asked if De Bruyne's impact with Manchester City surpasses Yaya Toure's own he said 'No,he's hot to do it for a little bit longer".
"Yaya's best season outweighs Kevin's.He scored 20 goals in that season in 13/14.
"What he's doing and the impact he's having on every game is remarkable. He's setting a new standard".
"Rio's era of Gerrard and Lampard-some great players in the premier league era-but what Kevin De Bruyne's doing is remarkable.
"i think if he continues to do this for another three or four years,he's in the conversation of Premier League greats"
