Real Madrid's head coach Zinedine Zidane stated clearly while replying to reporters that the Wales international didn't wished to be included in his squad traveling to Manchester for a Champions League decider game.
The former Tottenham Hotspur man-Gareth Bale was found missing in Zidane's 24 man list traveling to the Eihad stadium to play the second leg of their Champions League game against Manchester City. After losing at home to City(2-1)Madrid hopes to overturn their home defeat in their last 16 tie with City on Friday.
Bale has been an integral part of this Madrid side since joining from Tottenham on 1st September 2013.He scored a brace that helped Madrid clinch the Champions League title last two seasons against Liverpool but seems now to be struggling with this Zidanes side.Team Captain Sergio Ramos was included in the squad despite being suspended and not being able to play in the second leg.
Gareth Bale has played an accumulated 110 minutes since Football resumed in June and last started in February.
Zidane talking with reporters in a conference said,
"I will explain because many things are said"
"We have a relationship of respect between player and coach, that is clear. The only thing i can say is that he has decided not to play, and the rest is between him and me".
When occasionally being asked questions regarding Bale,Zidane became a little embittered.
"I have already answered before about the situation. The rest is a conversation between the player and the coach, and i am not going to tell you anything".
"Gareth Bale is a Real Madrid player, nothing changes.I respect that"Zidane said.
"He has decided not to play. All of us here are focused on tomorrow's game"
